Project Overview

KupidTV is a live entertainment platform designed around social shows, dating formats, audience voting, and prediction-based engagement. Instead of watching content passively, users can influence what happens in real time, predict outcomes, support contestants, earn rewards, and become part of the show themselves.

The platform is built for internet-native and college audiences, with show formats that can scale from online experiences to campus events, creator-led shows, and larger live productions.

Problem

Live entertainment loses momentum when the audience can only watch

KupidTV had to make live social entertainment feel active, rewarding, and easy to understand from the first interaction. The challenge was not only to design a livestreaming product, but to explain a new behavior: watching a show, predicting the outcome, voting live, earning rewards, and potentially joining as a contestant.

Passive viewing

Most livestream products let users watch and react, but give them limited control over what happens next.

Prediction complexity

Prediction mechanics can feel too close to betting unless they are framed as simple entertainment choices.

High cognitive load

Users often need to understand odds, markets, pricing, liquidity, or settlement before taking action.

Low connection

Many prediction products focus on events, but not enough on people, stories, and social tension.

Ownership

As the product designer, I helped shape the product from early KupidTV concepts to a broader live prediction platform, supporting two major pivots – including the latest transition toward CRSH Market.

My scope covered product framing, core UX flows, prediction mechanics, voting logic, live interaction states, reward systems, Web3 abstraction, visual direction, design system foundations.

The goal was to make a complex product category feel simple: users should understand what they can do, take action, and see the outcome without thinking about the infrastructure behind it.

Live Show Experience

Core entertainment layer across livestreams, contestants, voting, predictions, and audience participation

The live experience brings together video, hosts, contestants, chat, voting, predictions, results, and rewards in one fast-moving interface. The main format is an elimination-based show where users vote between two contestants, predict who will stay or leave, and earn rewards for correct choices across multiple rounds.

Prediction

Predict outcomes and earn rewards for correct choices

The prediction experience turns each elimination round into a simple live game. Users choose between two contestants, predict who will stay or leave, and earn rewards if their choice is correct. This mechanic repeats across multiple rounds, creating a clear engagement loop around watching, choosing, waiting for the result, and continuing to the next prediction.

Engagement Mechanics

Reward loop that turns activity and live participation into value

Users earn XP through participation, voting, predictions, and supported actions, then convert accumulated points into coupons or selected rewards. Contestants can also earn cash rewards by joining live shows and surviving elimination rounds — earning $15 per round after staying for more than three rounds. This creates a clear loop around participation, progress, rewards, and return engagement.

Wallet

Multi-currency wallet for prizes, in-product currency, and progression rewards

The wallet system includes Kupid Cash, Kupid Coins, and Experience Points, each with a different role in the product. Kupid Cash is used for eligible cash prizes, Kupid Coins power in-product experiences, and XP tracks user activity, progression, perks, and selected rewards. The design focused on making every balance understandable, actionable, and connected to the broader reward loop.

Outcomes

KupidTV evolved into CRSHMARKET — a livestream prediction platform built around real-time entertainment, voting, predictions, and audience participation.

The project showed strong early traction through live events and social distribution, including 200M+ social views, 25/25 sold-out shows, 40K+ followers, $60K+ revenue from shows, $20K+ given back to students, and 1,000+ verified users within 6 hours of launch.
